Now open to Non Health Care Students

Under the new "GP Practice Assistant" scheme released by the HSE, non healthcare workers can now work as a GP practice Assistants carrying out some approved in house clinical skills. You do not need a healthcare qualification to work as a GP Practice Assistant.

This N.M.B.I approved Core Clinical Skills Training Course is aimed at people health care workers. During the course students learn the most common skills performed on a day to day basis in healthcare settings. To perform these procedures well it requires staff to have training to be competent in these areas. The course is delivered by registered healthcare staff.
