Now open to GP Practice Assistants

Under the new "GP Practice Assistant" scheme released by the HSE, non healthcare workers can now work as a GP practice Assistants carrying out some approved in house clinical skills. You do not need a healthcare qualification to work as a GP Practice Assistant. 

 

This N.M.B.I approved Phlebotomy & I.V Cannulation Training Course is aimed at people working or studying in health care. During the course students learn both Phlebotomy and I.V Cannulation. These two life saving skills are the most commonly performed invasive procedures in healthcare settings. To perform these procedures well and to a safe standard, it requires staff to have training to be competent in these areas. The course is delivered by registered practitioners. This NMBI approved course is recognised and accepted by medical insurance companies. All skill monitoring is carried out on the day by a Doctor.
