This N.M.B.I approved Phlebotomy & I.V Cannulation Training Course is aimed at people working or studying in health care. During the course students learn both Phlebotomy and I.V Cannulation. These two life saving skills are the most commonly performed invasive procedures in healthcare settings. To perform these procedures well and to a safe standard, it requires staff to have training to be competent in these areas. The course is delivered by registered practitioners. This NMBI approved course is recognised and accepted by medical insurance companies. All skill monitoring is carried out on the day by a Doctor. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Do i need to do additional blood draws after the course?
No. We deem you compedant on the day.
2. I carry out IV cannula insertion on a day to day basis (ie.Advanced Paramedic) and just need the phlebotomy training. Can i sit just the phlebotomy side of the course?
Yes. You can leave after the phlebotomy training has been completed. The phlebotomy starts in the morning.
3. Do i need to print off the handout that is emailed to me 5 days before the course?
No. We suggest taking the time to read over it prior to attending. Pen and paper and casual dress.
4. And parking? Where can i park and is it free? Where do i go?
Yes free parking is provided. On entering UCC brookfield health science complex keep left and approach the automatic barrier. The barrier will automatically open. You will then see parking spaces. Once parked walk back around to the front of the building (Up steps to an all glass front of the building). Once entering the main doors turn left and proceed up the stairs on the left to the first floor. No need to check in with rection. Once at the top of the stairs turn right and you will see us.
