PHECC First Aid Response Instructor | FAR Instructor Refresher Course

Requirements:

> CFR & FAR instructor certificate 

Evidence of a balance of FAR and CFR courses delivered; minimum 4 courses in 
the preceding 2 years

Assessment Duration: 1.5 hours (Please book a date & call for an agreed time.

Course involves lecture presentation & Practical assessment

Certification: 

PHECC First Aid Response Instructor valid for 2 years​​

PHECC CFR Community Level Instructor valid for 2 years

​

English Language: All our PHECC courses are delivered in English. Students are expected to have good command of the english language.​

The Instructor will firstly be assessed in there own ability to carry out CPR as per PHECC guidelines. The instructor be then asked to deliver a section of the FAR & CFR community level course which will be assigned  on the day. Please bring the required paperwork & equipment to run a FAR course. ​

Examination Session 1.5 hours

• Introduction, Meet and Greet, sign paperwork.

• Be assessed carrying out cardiac arrest management. 

• Teach an assigned section of the FAR course ( ie, Common Medical Emergencies) 

• Teach an assigned section of the CFR course ( ie, Cardiac Arrest ) 

• Please review current FAR & CFR CPGS 

• Present with good teaching method & demonstrate good  communication ie: Visual methods, questions / answers, storytelling, & ​Involving your students in your lecture as much as possible.  

• You will be asked how you undertake written exam & practical exams.
