Entry Criteria: There is no specific entry criterion including a minimum age for undertaking the course. However, a course participant should be mature enough to comprehend the knowledge, skills and implications associated with defibrillation and have a maturity to complete assessment to receive certification. Minors of less than 18 years of age need to be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Due to student practical skills depreciation and the requirement for class team participation and involvement in PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) courses, students will be required to participate the course in full. This is applied to all students. Participants who have a valid in date PHECC CFR certificate will still be required to engage in the full PHECC FAR course including the PHECC CFR section. This applies to both PHECC First Aid Responder full 3 day course, and PHECC First Aid Response Refresher courses.
