This 3 day Site Supervisor Training Course is designed to teach students site and workplace supervisors roles within the workplace. The course delivers the necessary skills and knowledge required to effectively manage safety, productivity, team dynamics in construction and industrial environments.
Students gain a deeper insight into legal obligations, risk management, leadership, and effective communication strategies to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

Day 1
Supervisor Role & Responsibilities

Legal Responsibility: Supervisors must understand how health and safety legislation (such as the 2005 Act in Ireland or OHS in the UK) applies to their specific site duties.

Due Diligence: Responsible for taking "all reasonable steps" to protect workers from harm, which includes enforcing company policy and safety rules.

Safety Leadership: Beyond just giving orders, supervisors must model correct behaviour, motivate their teams, and promote a positive safety culture

Risk Assessment: Learning to identify hazards and implement control measures before any work begins.

Day 2
Putting People to Work

Assessing employee competence and ensuring they are properly briefed (e.g., via Toolbox Talks).
Monitoring Staff
Identifying unsafe behaviors and intervening effectively to promote a positive safety culture.
Management / Leadership

Taking responsibility for specific high-risk areas like Working at Height, Fire Safety, and Chemical Handling
